CvPrais AI

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains how CvPrais AI (cvprais.com) processes personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

Controller

[Your full name / company], [Street, postcode, city], Austria. Email: hello@cvprais.com

What we process

  • The resume text or file you upload or paste (this usually contains your name, contact details, work history and education).
  • The job description and any instructions you type.
  • Basic technical data needed to deliver the website (IP address, browser type, request time) in server logs.

Why and on what legal basis

We process your resume and job description only to generate the CV, cover letter or analysis you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performing the service you asked for). Technical logs are processed for security and operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest).

AI provider and transfers outside the EU

To write your CV, your resume and job description are sent over an encrypted connection to an AI model (Anthropic Claude) through the Lovable AI gateway. These providers may process data in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. The providers process the data on our behalf to return a response and do not use it to train their models under their API terms.

Retention

We do not store your resume or generated CV in a database. No account is created. The text stays in your browser until you close or reload the page. Our providers may keep request data for a short period for abuse monitoring under their own policies. Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We save your light/dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. If we add analytics or advertising later, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing. Contact us at hello@cvprais.com. You may also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, www.dsb.gv.at).
